About Hospice Care Ottawa
Our goal is to enhance the quality of end-of-life care and provide comfort to those on life’s most difficult journey. Right from diagnosis with a life-limiting illness, we are there to provide support through our community programs (Day Hospice, and In-Home support) through to 24-hour care at one of our two residential hospices, through to death, and grief, bereavement, caregiver and family support throughout the journey and beyond.
Programs are offered at no cost to individuals we serve and their families. Fundraising events like Hike for Hospice Care Ottawa and key support from corporate community partners like you help to ensure we can continue to serve people living with a life-limiting illness and their families.
Background on Hike for Hospice Care Ottawa
Hike for Hospice is an annual tradition across Canada that celebrates the arrival of spring. This year, our signature event, Hike for Hospice Care Ottawa will take place at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre. Starting at the main building, the 5 km hike will take participants through beautiful trails by the Ottawa River to then return to Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre for refreshments and closing ceremonies. We welcome all age groups and encourage you to form a team and participate with family and friends. Individual fundraisers are welcome too and we know you’ll meet some amazing people!
This year, our top two sponsorship levels will allow for a booth opportunity at the event, and we encourage all sponsors to gather your colleagues and put in a team for Hike for Hospice Care Ottawa and join our community.
