NEW THIS YEAR: Hospice Care Ottawa will not issue tax receipts for Holes for Hospice.
- Not all charitable event tickets are eligible for full, or even partial, receipt. The CRA determines rules that charitable organizations are required to follow when issuing charitable tax receipts.
- For events that are eligible for a tax receipt, charities must calculate the “advantage” the participant received from the event.
- The organizing committee for Holes for Hospice strives to ensure the tournament has numerous benefits for those participating like lunch, prize holes, carts, course fees, complimentary drinks and a delicious dinner. As all of these benefits included in our Golfer’s Registration Fee are greater than 20% of the purchase price, standard practice is to not issue a charitable tax receipt.
