I began volunteering at Hospice in 2015, to see if I would like working in a palliative care environment. I fell in love with it and changed careers in 2019 to become a PSW so that I could work in Hospice. I have been with them ever since (with a little break during covid due to restrictions 😞). I can honestly say I love my work. End of life care is so needed. Our hospice residences provide a more home like atmosphere and give families the opportunity to just be with their loved ones, while we assist with care. The compassion I see from staff and volunteers towards our patients and families is beautiful. Hospice is not fully funded by the government and relies on donations to continue to provide excellent care. Please consider a donation this year!
