I’m a bit behind this year in creating this fundraiser page as the walk is coming up on Saturday, May the 4th.

I never knew what end of life care could be like until my Mom, Ruthie, was admitted to The Hospice at May Court. We experienced nothing but gentle kindness and dedication from all the staff. The respect and consideration given to my Mom and to our family helped us all cope with her ultimate passing. 

It’s a wonderful place that also opened it’s doors to my Dad, Norm, as an outpatient in their amazing art program. 

We needed their support then and I will always be grateful for the amazing HospiceCareOttawa.

It is my 14th walk and I will be with the wonderful and amazing, Jodi, Jessica and Kerry. We will be walking in remembrance and for those getting the support and care for their own end of life through HospiceCareOttawa.

This year the walk will take us from Britannia to Andy Hayden Park.
