The one constant in our lives is that we choose the people to share it with. We don't get to choose how much time we have with them nor do we get to choose when they leave us. Hospice care is very dear to my heart as many of you know. I have been working in this field for close to 14 years and strive to ensure hospice is available to all. This year I am dedicating my walk to all the amazing people I work with, the patients/clients and their families who entrust me to care for them and finally to those who I have lost too early or who are struggling. Hospice care allows for care to be provided with compassion, kindness and dignity. It allows families to be there as loved ones instead of just caregivers. People deserve to have comfort and warmth while they are in the last journey in their lives. Hospice care is still not fully funded and not as well known as it should be. Please take this time to help an amazing cause; any amount is appreciated.
